Getting There

    If you are in the center of Mazar-i-Sharif, start at the famous Blue Mosque (Hazrat Ali Shrine) which is a known landmark. From the mosque, head south towards the main road (Mazar-i-Sharif - Kabul Road). Walk along this road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the Buzkashi Ground. The Buzkashi Ground is located approximately 500 meters down this road on your right. Look for the large open area where the Buzkashi games are held, recognizable by the crowds and the horse riders.

    Another route is to start at the Central Market (Bazaar-e Markazi) in Mazar-i-Sharif. From the market, head north towards the main road.
