A.M. Booth's Lumberyard is a one-of-a-kind entertainment venue located in downtown Huntsville, Alabama. The Lumberyard isn't just a restaurant; it's an experience, offering a vibrant mix of dining, live music, retail spaces, and event hosting within a complex of revitalized historic buildings. Originally established in 1895 by A.M. Booth, the site served as a lumberyard that supplied materials for the construction of over 1,100 homes in Huntsville and Madison County. After closing in the 1950s and later housing an auto parts store, the space was vacant for many years before being reimagined as the multifaceted venue it is today. The Lumberyard has been operating as a venue for private parties since 2011. Mayor Tommy Battle presented Doug Smith, owner of AM Booth Lumberyard, with a “This Place Matters” award for breathing new life into a complex of old buildings by the rail line in downtown Huntsville. Today, A.M. Booth's Lumberyard features multiple dining spaces, including the Taproom and the Blue Bayou dining car, as well as multiple stages for live entertainment. The menu features fresh, Southern-inspired dishes, craft beers, and handcrafted cocktails. The venue is known for its eclectic atmosphere, drawing crowds for everything from casual dining to weddings and concerts.
