    From the Huntsville Museum of Art, walk north along Church Street NW. Turn right onto Clinton Avenue NW. Turn right onto Monroe Street NW. The Mark C. Smith Concert Hall will be on your right, within the Von Braun Center. This is a short walk, approximately 5-10 minutes.

  • Public Transport

    Huntsville Transit provides bus service to the Von Braun Center. Several bus routes, including routes 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 10, stop near the VBC. Check the Huntsville Transit schedule for the most up-to-date information on routes and times. A single ride fare is $1.25.

  • Driving

    Approaching the Von Braun Center (700 Monroe St SW, Huntsville, AL 35801) by car, you'll find several parking options. From I-565, take the Jefferson Street/Washington Street exit into downtown. Follow the signs to the VBC. Parking is available in several garages and lots. VBC Parking fee is $15. The Monroe Street City Parking Garage (P4) is located across the street from the VBC Box Office. City Parking Garages A, B, M, and O are within a 5-15 minute walk and cost between $10-$15.

The Mark C. Smith Concert Hall stands as a cultural cornerstone within the Von Braun Center (VBC) in Huntsville, Alabama. This elegant concert hall offers a diverse program, featuring everything from Broadway productions and ballet performances to symphonic concerts and conferences. With a seating capacity of 1,955 in a continental style, the hall provides an intimate yet spacious setting. The venue is equipped with dressing room accommodations for up to sixty performers and a conveniently located Green Room. The hall is also utilized for meetings, seminars, and other events. The Concert Hall underwent a major renovation in 2010, thanks to a generous $3 million donation from the Linda and Mark Smith Family Foundation. This renovation brought the Concert Hall up to date. The VBC itself has a rich history, opening in 1975 and evolving into a regional site for conventions and events. The opening day featured a performance of “Galileo Galilei”. The Mark C. Smith Concert Hall is easily accessible and located in the heart of downtown Huntsville, making it convenient to hotels, restaurants, and other attractions.
