Parc Natural del Cadí-Moixeró, a protected area since 1983, encompasses 41,060 hectares of mountainous terrain in the north of Catalonia, near the Andorran border. The park is defined by the imposing Serra del Cadí and Serra de Moixeró mountain ranges, connected by the Tancalaporta pass, forming a natural barrier stretching over 30 kilometers. Vulturó, the park's highest peak, reaches 2,648 meters. The park's diverse ecosystems range from lush forests of oak, black pine, and beech to alpine meadows and rocky peaks. This variety supports a rich array of plant and animal life, including endemic Pyrenean species.
