The most common way to reach Vall de Núria is by train to Ribes de Freser, followed by the rack railway. From Barcelona, take the R3 line to Ribes de Freser. From Ribes de Freser, transfer to the Vall de Núria rack railway. The rack railway journey takes approximately 40 minutes to reach Vall de Núria. Rack railway tickets for the 2025 summer season cost €33 for adults and €21.50 for children (ages 4-13) for a round trip from Ribes. A one-way ticket costs €23 for adults and €15 for children. Consider purchasing a combined train and rack railway ticket for a discounted fare.

If driving, head to Ribes de Freser or Queralbs, the two villages where you can board the rack railway.
