    From the Canillo parish church (Església de Sant Serni) located at Plaça del Poble, head northwest on Carrer de les Corts until you reach the main road, CG-2. Turn left onto CG-2 and walk for about 300 meters, passing shops and cafes. Look for the sign towards Camí vell de prats and turn right. Continue on Camí vell de prats for approximately 500 meters. The Església de la Santa Creu de Canillo will be on your left. The walk is about 10-15 minutes. There are no costs involved.

Located near the Valira d'Orient river, the church's construction is believed to have been completed around 1739, as indicated by the date on its baroque altarpiece. The church is a simple rectangular building with a single-gabled roof, topped with a bell tower. A small porch adorns the main facade, inviting visitors to step inside and discover its serene interior. The interior features a whitewashed nave and a slate-paved floor. The apse showcases a baroque altarpiece dedicated to the Passion of Christ. While the figure of Christ is absent, statues of Mary and Saint John the Evangelist stand on either side in high relief. Above, a representation of God the Father with his hand raised in blessing completes the altarpiece. The church is a protected cultural heritage site since 2003 and was restored in 2004.
