Car
From Luanda, take the EN100 south towards Barra do Kwanza. Continue past the Kwanza River bridge. Approximately 700 meters after the bridge, you'll find the entrance to Quicama National Park. The drive is approximately 75 km and takes around 1.5 hours. Consider that a 4x4 vehicle is recommended for navigating the park's interior roads. There are fees for park entrance, approximately Kz 2,000 (about $2.19 USD) per vehicle and Kz 4,000 (about $4.38 USD) per person. A safari within the park will cost an additional Kz 4,000 per person.
Public Transport
From Luanda, take a shared taxi ('taxi colectivos') to Barra do Kwanza. The cost is approximately 3,000 Kwanza. From Barra do Kwanza, you may need to hire a local taxi to take you to the park entrance, which is a short distance away. Confirm the price before starting the trip, but expect to pay around 5,000 Kwanza. Once at the park entrance, there will be entrance fees of approximately Kz 2,000 (about $2.19 USD) per vehicle and Kz 4,000 (about $4.38 USD) per person. A safari within the park will cost an additional Kz 4,000 per person.
