Driving
From Mendoza, take Route 7 towards Chile (Paso Internacional Los Libertadores). Pass through Potrerillos and Uspallata, following the Mendoza River valley. After Polvaredas, reach Punta de Vacas, then continue to Villa Las Cuevas, the last settlement before the Chilean border. Park safely in Villa Las Cuevas, potentially arranging with local businesses. Note that there may be a toll on Route 7.

Public Transport & Hiking
Take a bus from Mendoza to Las Cuevas. These buses often run between Mendoza and Santiago, Chile. From Las Cuevas, the hike to Laguna Potrero Escondido begins. Follow the trail that ascends northwards alongside the Las Cuevas River. The trail gradually climbs the eastern slope towards the lake. Remember to register at the toll booth in Villa Las Cuevas before starting your hike. Bus fare from Mendoza to Las Cuevas will vary.
