The trail is well-marked and maintained. Follow the signs for Loma del Pliegue Tumbado. The hike is approximately 21 kilometers round trip and takes 6-8 hours to complete. Note: There is an entrance fee to Los Glaciares National Park. As of December 2024, the fee for foreign tourists is ARS 45,000. Tickets can be purchased online or at the park entrance. Be sure to have cash in Argentine pesos.

    To reach El Chaltén, take a bus from El Calafate. Several buses run daily from October to May. The bus journey takes approximately 3 hours. From the El Chaltén bus station, walk to the El Chaltén APN Visitor Center to begin the hike. The trail is well-marked and maintained. Follow the signs for Loma del Pliegue Tumbado. The hike is approximately 21 kilometers round trip and takes 6-8 hours to complete. Bus fare from El Calafate to El Chalten is approximately $20-$30 USD.
