Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving to Sendero a la laguna de los Tres from El Chaltén, first head southwest on Avenida San Martín toward Calle 11. Continue on this road for about 1.5 km until you reach the parking lot for the Laguna de los Tres trailhead. The parking area is located at the base of the trail and has signs indicating the start of the Sendero a la laguna de los Tres. Ensure you arrive early as the parking lot can fill up quickly, especially during peak travel seasons.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, take a bus from El Chaltén to the trailhead. Buses depart from the main bus terminal located near Avenida San Martín. Confirm the schedule, as services may vary depending on the season. The bus will take you directly to the trailhead where you can disembark at the Laguna de los Tres parking area. Once you arrive, look for signs that guide you to the trail, which begins from this point.

• Hiking

  After reaching the parking area by car or bus, you will need to hike approximately 9 km one way to reach Laguna de los Tres. The trail starts at the parking lot and is marked clearly with signs. The hike is moderate to challenging, and it usually takes around 4-6 hours to reach the lagoon, depending on your pace. Along the way, you will encounter beautiful landscapes and viewpoints, so be sure to take your time and enjoy the scenery.
