Getting There

  • Car

    From the center of El Chaltén, drive south on Av. San Martín until you reach the junction with Ruta 23. Turn left onto Ruta 23, heading east. Continue for about 11 km until you reach the trailhead at the Laguna Torre trailhead parking area. The trailhead is marked and offers ample parking. From the trailhead, follow the Laguna Torre trail, which is well-marked. This hike will take approximately 2-3 hours one way, depending on your pace. The Cerro Torre peak will be visible from the Laguna Torre viewpoint.

    In El Chaltén, you can take a guided tour or shuttle service that operates to the trailhead for Cerro Torre. Check with local tourist agencies for schedules and availability.
