Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from El Calafate, head south on Avenida Libertador towards Calle 2. Continue straight for about 4 km until you reach the entrance of Los Glaciares National Park. After entering the park, follow the signs for Lago Argentino. The Mirador Lago Argentino is located along the road leading to the lake. There is a parking area available near the viewpoint. Please note that there is an entrance fee for the national park, which is approximately ARS 800 per person for foreigners.

• Public Transportation

  From El Calafate, you can take a bus that goes to Los Glaciares National Park. Look for the 'Los Glaciares' bus service at the main bus terminal in El Calafate. Buses run several times a day and the fare is around ARS 500 one way. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the Mirador Lago Argentino. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive, you can walk to the viewpoint, which is a short distance from the bus stop.

• Walking

  If you are already in the vicinity of Lago Argentino, you can access the Mirador Lago Argentino by walking from nearby trails. Look for signs directing you to the viewpoint. The trails are well-marked and offer stunning views of the lake along the way. Ensure you wear comfortable walking shoes and carry water and snacks, as it may take about 30 minutes to reach the viewpoint from the nearest trailhead.
