If you are driving from downtown San Carlos de Bariloche, head southwest on Av. San Martín towards Av. Mitre. Continue straight onto Av. Exequiel Bustillo, which will lead you along the scenic shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi. After about 25 kilometers, keep an eye out for the signs indicating Brazo Tristeza. Turn left onto the dirt road that leads to the parking area for the sendero (trailhead). The parking area may have a small fee, so be prepared with cash.
