Discover more about Llao Llao Hotel

The Llao Llao Hotel, a beacon of Argentinian hospitality, is situated in the heart of Patagonia, surrounded by the breathtaking landscapes of the Nahuel Huapi National Park. Architect Alejandro Bustillo chose the location between the Nahuel Huapi and Moreno Lakes for its stunning scenery and access to Puerto Pañuelo. Originally opened in 1938, the hotel was built in a Canadian home style with cypress logs and larch tiles. A fire destroyed the original structure in 1939, but it was rebuilt and reopened in 1940. The hotel quickly gained international fame, attracting aristocracy, diplomats, and famous guests. After being closed for 15 years, it reopened in 1993 as the Llao Llao Hotel & Resort, Golf-Spa. The Llao Llao Hotel offers a blend of historical charm and modern amenities. The hotel has two wings: the Bustillo Wing and the Lago Moreno Wing. Guests can enjoy a range of activities including golf, spa treatments, and water sports. The hotel also provides stunning views of the surrounding mountains and lakes, making it a perfect destination for relaxation and outdoor adventures. The hotel's architecture reflects a rustic modernism, showcasing the raw materials used in its construction. The hotel's name, Llao Llao, comes from a fungus that grows in the local ñire and coihue trees.
