Getting There

Car
If you are driving, start by heading to the entrance of Los Glaciares National Park. From the main road (Route 40), take Route 11 towards the park entrance, which is about 80 km from El Calafate. Pay the entrance fee at the park gate (around 1000 ARS). Once inside the park, follow the signs towards the Perito Moreno Glacier. After arriving at the glacier, park your car in the designated parking area. From there, you will need to walk to the viewing platforms to see the glacier. The Iceberg Canal is located nearby, and you can access it by following the designated trails and paths that lead to the shore of the canal.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take a bus from El Calafate to the Perito Moreno Glacier. Several companies operate this route, and the trip takes about 1.5 hours. The round-trip fare is approximately 3000 ARS. Once you arrive at the glacier, you can purchase tickets for the viewing platforms. After exploring the platforms, follow the marked trails leading to the Iceberg Canal. Be sure to check the bus schedule for your return trip to El Calafate.
