From the center of Ushuaia, head west towards the waterfront. Follow Av. Maipú along the Beagle Channel. Continue along the coastal road, enjoying the views, until you reach the outskirts of town. The trailhead for Sendero al Lado del Río is located approximately 4 km from Ushuaia, near the Playa Larga Nature Reserve. Look for signs marking the entrance to the trail. The walk from Ushuaia to the trailhead takes approximately 1 hour. No cost is involved.

Take a bus labeled "Parque Nacional" from Ushuaia city center. These buses typically depart from the main bus terminal or near the waterfront. Check the schedule beforehand as the frequency may vary. The ride to the park entrance takes approximately 1 hour. From the park entrance, follow the designated paths to reach Sendero al Lado del Río, which is well-marked within the park. Bus fare is approximately ARS 50-100.

From anywhere in Ushuaia, a taxi ride to the trailhead of Sendero al Lado del Río takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Taxis are readily available throughout the city. The approximate cost is ARS 1000. Ask the driver to take you to the entrance of Tierra del Fuego National Park or the trailhead near Playa Larga.
