From the center of Villa La Angostura, head southwest on Av. 12 de Octubre. Continue straight for about 2.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 40. Turn left onto Route 40, heading south. Drive for approximately 10 kilometers until you see the signs for Escondido Lake on your right. Turn onto the gravel road that leads to the lake. The road can be rough, so drive carefully. There is no entry fee for the lake area.

Take a local bus from Villa La Angostura to the nearest stop along Route 40. You can catch a bus at the main bus terminal in town.
