Walking
From Hualapai Hilltop, the only access point by road, the village of Supai is an 8-mile hike. The trail descends approximately 2,500 feet into the canyon. From Supai, it is another 2 miles to the Havasupai Campground, and the Main Havasupai Rangers Office is located along the Havasupai Village Main Trail. This is the only way to access the falls. Ensure you have sturdy hiking boots, ample water, and sun protection. Check in at the Grand Canyon Caverns Inn before your hike. There is no camping at Hualapai Hilltop.

Helicopter transport to Supai is sometimes available from Hualapai Hilltop, significantly reducing travel time. However, this service is not always reliable and is subject to weather conditions and tribal regulations. Contact the Havasupai Tribe for current availability and pricing. Upon arrival in Supai, the Main Havasupai Rangers Office is a short walk away. Helicopter cost varies.

Mule Ride
Mule rides can be arranged to carry passengers or packs from Hualapai Hilltop to Supai. Pack mule reservations are $400 round trip between the Hilltop Trailhead and the Campground entrance or Lodge drop-off. An extra fee of $300 is charged for a late run if you miss the drop-off time. One mule can carry up to 4 bags, with a maximum weight of 32 pounds per bag and dimensions of 36 x 19 x 19 inches. Passengers must adhere to weight restrictions; riders cannot exceed 225 lbs. Mule reservations must be made online in advance.
