Discover more about Ozark Bathhouse

The Ozark Bathhouse, located on Bathhouse Row in Hot Springs National Park, offers visitors a unique look into the history of this famous spa town. Completed in 1922, it was designed by architects Mann and Stern in the Spanish Colonial Revival style. The building features distinctive low towers and unique plaster-cast window boxes, with cartouches depicting the Tree of Health or the Tree of Life. Originally, the Ozark catered to a middle-class clientele seeking the thermal waters' purported health benefits. It was less opulent than some of its neighbors on Bathhouse Row, featuring 27 tubs within its 14,000 square feet. The bathhouse closed in 1977 and has since been repurposed. Until recently, the Ozark Bathhouse served as a cultural center, hosting art exhibitions and park events. As of May 17, 2025, the Ozark Bathhouse is tentatively scheduled to reopen as 'Mystic Ozark', an interactive family attraction that highlights the geothermal waters of Hot Springs National Park through themed environments, projection mapping, and historical exhibits.
