Discover more about Arlington Lawn

Arlington Lawn, a verdant space within Hot Springs National Park, provides a tranquil retreat in the heart of the city. This inviting lawn, located at 399-301 Crescent Ave, gets its name from the two iterations of the Arlington Hotel that formerly occupied the site. The first Arlington, a wooden structure, was completed in 1875, offering luxurious accommodations. It was replaced in 1893 by a grander, Moorish and Spanish Renaissance-style hotel featuring a glass-topped rotunda. This second hotel burned down in 1923, and the current Arlington Hotel was built across the street in 1925. Today, Arlington Lawn offers scenic walking trails, lush greenery, and a relaxing atmosphere. It's also home to the Hot Water Cascade, the most prominent visible spring in the park. Though you can't soak in the hot springs here, the lawn provides a beautiful vantage point to appreciate the thermal waters and the surrounding landscape. The park encourages leisurely strolls, picnics, and social gatherings, making it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Its blend of natural beauty and historical relevance makes Arlington Lawn a must-visit destination.
