As the only zoo in Arkansas accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), it is committed to providing a high-quality environment for its animals and engaging experiences for visitors. Popular exhibits include the Great Apes exhibit, home to gorillas, chimpanzees, and orangutans, and the Laura P. Nichols Penguin Pointe, where visitors can observe African penguins.
