Many artisans offer workshops for a hands-on experience. Music is integral to the Ozark Folk Center. The park hosts live music daily at the Blacksmith Stage in the Craft Village, showcasing the traditional Ozark Mountain sound created with instruments like the fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin, and dulcimer. The 1,000-seat Ozark Highlands Theater hosts concerts and special events, featuring renowned artists from various genres of Americana music. The park also produces Ozark Highlands Radio, a syndicated program that shares the music and stories of the Ozark region. The Heritage Herb Garden serves as a living classroom, displaying old-time pass-along plants, medicinal herbs, native plants, and edible herbs. Events celebrating culinary and medicinal herbs are held throughout the year. The park is open from mid-April to late October.
