If you are traveling by car, head towards the Areni Wine Region. From Yerevan, take the M2 highway south towards Ararat. After approximately 90 km, take the exit for Areni. Once in Areni village, follow the signs for Areni-1 Cave. It is located about 3 km from the village center. You will see a clearly marked road leading to the cave entrance. Parking is available near the site, and there is no fee for parking.

To reach Areni-1 Cave via public transport, take a bus or minibus (marshrutka) from Yerevan to Areni. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at the Areni bus station, you can either walk to the cave, which is approximately 3 km away (about a 30-40 minute walk), or you can hire a local taxi. Taxi fares should be negotiated beforehand, but expect to pay around 1000-2000 AMD for a short trip to the cave from the village.

For those who prefer walking, after reaching the Areni bus station, you can head towards the main road. Walk south along the main road, following the direction to the cave.
