Getting There

    If you are driving from Areni, head northeast on the main road (H-44) towards Artashat. After about 10 kilometers, you will reach a fork; keep left to continue on H-11 towards Pokr Vedi. Continue on H-11 for approximately 15 kilometers. You will see signs for Khor Virap Monastery before you arrive. Turn left at the sign and follow the road up the hill to the monastery. There is parking available at the site.

    From Areni, take a marshrutka (minibus) heading towards Artashat. These typically depart from the central bus station in Areni. Inform the driver you wish to go to Khor Virap Monastery; the journey will take about 30 minutes. The marshrutka will drop you off near the entrance of the monastery.
