Walking
Start your journey from the center of Jermuk, where the main park is located. Head east on Tigran Mets Street until you reach the intersection with Yerevan Street. Turn left onto Yerevan Street. Continue walking straight until you see the sign for the Jermuk Waterfall on your right. The waterfall is a popular spot, so it’s a good landmark. After visiting the waterfall, continue on Yerevan Street for about 1.5 km until you reach the edge of the town. From there, head towards the Vernashen village. Follow the path that leads down the valley. The trail will eventually lead you to the outskirts of Vernashen. Once in Vernashen, keep an eye out for the local signs directing you to Spitakavor, which is approximately 1 km from the village center.

Hiking
If you prefer a more nature-oriented route, you can take the hiking trail that starts from the Jermuk Waterfall area. Follow the marked path that leads north from the waterfall, which is well-maintained and offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The hike will take you approximately 2 hours to reach Spitakavor. Make sure to bring adequate water and snacks, as there are no facilities along the way. Once you reach the vicinity of Vernashen, look for local signs indicating the direction to Spitakavor.

From the center of Jermuk, you can take a local minibus to Vernashen. Look for the minibus station near the main park, where you'll find taxis and shared vans. The minibus will take you directly to Vernashen. Once you arrive in Vernashen, the church is about a 20-minute walk from the village center. Ask locals for directions to Spitakavor, as they will be familiar with the area. This option allows you to experience local transport and engage with the community.
