Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car from the nearest town in Shikahogh State Reserve, head north on the main road towards the village of Shikahogh. Follow the road for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach a fork. Take the left fork, which leads towards the Shikahogh Reserve entrance. Continue straight for about 5 kilometers, and you will see signs directing you to various points of interest within the reserve. However, please note that OJAN is located outside of the reserve in Iran. Therefore, if you wish to visit OJAN, you must exit the reserve, head back towards the main road, and cross into Iran via a border crossing.

Public Transportation
To reach OJAN using public transport, first, take a minibus or shared taxi from the town of Goris to the main entrance of Shikahogh State Reserve. The fare is usually around 500 AMD. Once you arrive at the reserve, you will need to find transportation to the border crossing with Iran. This may include hiring a taxi or waiting for a bus, which may not be frequent. After crossing the border into Iran, you will need to arrange further transportation to reach OJAN. Be sure to have your passport and any necessary visas, as there may be costs involved with border crossing fees.
