If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Katoomba. Head west on the Great Western Highway (A32) for about 10 km until you reach the roundabout at Blackheath. Take the second exit onto the Blackheath Road and continue for approximately 2 km. Look for the signs directing you to Govetts Leap Lookout. Turn left onto Govetts Leap Road and follow it until you reach the Govetts Leap car park (98C6+MF, Blackheath NSW 2787). The descent begins near the lookout area.

Public Transport
From Katoomba, take the Blue Mountains Line train to Blackheath Station, which is approximately a 30-minute ride. Upon arrival at Blackheath Station, exit the station and catch the 695 bus towards Mount Victoria. Get off at the 'Govetts Leap Lookout' stop. From there, follow the signs to the Govetts Leap descent, which starts near the lookout.

If you are already in Blackheath, you can walk to the Govetts Leap descent. From the town center, head west on the Great Western Highway towards Govetts Leap Road. After about 1 km of walking, turn onto Govetts Leap Road and continue for another 1 km until you arrive at the Govetts Leap Lookout. The descent trail begins near the lookout area.
