Driving
The easiest way to reach Hanging Rock is by car. From Blackheath, drive west on the Great Western Highway for approximately 1km. Turn right onto Ridgewell Road and follow it for about 2.5km to the locked gate at the end of the road. Parking is free but limited, especially on weekends. The Burramoko Ridge Trail starts here.

Public Transport
Alternatively, take a train to Blackheath Station. From the station, exit on the western side and cross the Great Western Highway at the traffic lights. Turn left and walk west along the highway for approximately 1km until you reach Ridgewell Road on the left. Follow Ridgewell Road for about 2.5km to the locked gate and the start of the Burramoko Ridge Trail. The walk from the station to the trailhead adds an extra 2.6km each way. A single train fare from Sydney to Blackheath costs around $9-$12.
