Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, navigate to Echo Point Rd, Katoomba NSW 2780. From Sydney, take the M4 Motorway towards Penrith, which will lead you to the Great Western Highway (A32). Continue on A32 for about 90 minutes. Once you reach Katoomba, follow the signs to Echo Point. There is parking available near the lookout point, but be mindful of parking fees, which can be around AUD 4 for a few hours.

• Public Transportation - Train

  Take a train from Sydney's Central Station to Katoomba Station. The journey takes approximately 2 hours and trains run regularly. Once you arrive at Katoomba Station, you can either walk, which takes about 30 minutes, or catch a local bus (Route 686) that will take you directly to Echo Point. The bus fare is around AUD 3.60.

• Public Transportation - Bus

  If you're already in the Blue Mountains National Park and need to reach Echo Point, check the local bus schedules. Bus services operated by Blue Mountains Transit connect various points in the park, including Katoomba. Look for the Route 686, which runs frequently from Katoomba Station to Echo Point. The bus fare is approximately AUD 3.60.

• Walking

  For those already in Katoomba or nearby locations within the park, walking to Echo Point can be a beautiful option. From Katoomba Station, head towards the town center, and follow the signs to Echo Point. The walk is about 2.5 kilometers and will take you through scenic streets and bushland. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, especially on warm days.
