    Getting There

    Walking

    Start your journey at the Byron Bay town center. Head east on Jonson Street toward Bay Lane. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Lawson Street. Turn left onto Lawson Street, which will take you towards the coast. Follow Lawson Street until it merges into Lighthouse Road. Keep walking until you reach the Cape Byron Headland Reserve. From here, follow the walking trails that lead you through the reserve, enjoying the scenic views along the way. After approximately 1.5 km, exit the reserve and turn left onto Broken Head Road. Continue walking for about 1 km, and you will see the entrance to Tallow Creek Special Purpose Zone on your right, located at the Rainforest Resort.

    Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, start at the Byron Bay town center. Ride north along Jonson Street and take a right onto Lawson Street. Follow Lawson Street until it becomes Lighthouse Road, leading you toward the Cape Byron Lighthouse. After enjoying the views, continue your ride along Lighthouse Road, exiting the reserve and merging onto Broken Head Road. Keep cycling for about 1 km, and you will find the Tallow Creek Special Purpose Zone entrance on your right, next to the Rainforest Resort.

    Public Transport

    From Byron Bay town center, you can catch a local bus heading towards Broken Head. Board the bus at the nearest bus stop on Jonson Street. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to get off at the stop closest to Broken Head Road. Once you disembark, walk back along Broken Head Road for about 500 meters, and you will find Tallow Creek Special Purpose Zone on your right, adjacent to the Rainforest Resort.
