Getting There

  • Car

    From the center of Bendigo, head north on the Calder Freeway (M79) towards Melbourne. After approximately 30 kilometers, take the exit toward the Sunraysia Highway (A79) in the direction of Mildura. Continue on the Sunraysia Highway for about 30 kilometers until you reach the town of Inglewood. In Inglewood, turn left onto the B220 towards Wedderburn. Follow the B220 for about 20 kilometers and then turn right onto Melville Caves Road. Continue along Melville Caves Road for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the Melville Caves Lookout. Parking is available at the lookout.

    If you are relying on public transportation, first take a train from Melbourne to Bendigo. The train ride takes around 2 hours. From Bendigo, you can catch a bus to Inglewood. Once you arrive in Inglewood, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to Melville Caves Lookout as public transportation does not service this area directly.
