Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from Central West, head southeast on the nearest main road towards the city center. Follow the signs for Flinders Street. Once you reach Flinders Street, turn left and continue until you reach Swanston Street. Fed Square is located at the intersection of Swanston Street and Flinders Street. There are several parking options nearby, such as the Federation Square Car Park. Note that parking fees will apply, typically around AUD 4 per hour.

• Public Transportation - Train

  Take a train from any station in Central West to Southern Cross Station. Upon arrival at Southern Cross, follow the signs to the Flinders Street exit. Once you exit, walk towards Flinders Street and turn left. Head towards Swanston Street, where you will find Fed Square located at the intersection. The train fare will vary depending on your starting point, but expect it to be around AUD 5 to AUD 10.

• Public Transportation - Tram

  If you prefer to take a tram, locate the nearest tram stop in Central West. Board a tram heading towards the city center. Trams on the routes 1, 3, 5, 6, 16, 64, and 67 will take you close to Fed Square. Disembark at the Flinders Street/ Swanston Street stop. From there, you can easily walk to Fed Square. Tram rides are typically around AUD 4 for a single journey, depending on your starting point.

• Walking

  For those who are already close to the city center, walking is a great option. Head towards Flinders Street and then to Swanston Street. Fed Square is a prominent landmark, easily recognizable by its unique architecture. The walk is straightforward and should take about 10-15 minutes depending on your starting point.
