If you are in the central business district (CBD) of Melbourne, you can easily walk to Federation Square. Start at Flinders Street Station, which is a well-known landmark. Exit the station onto Flinders Street and head east. Cross the street at the traffic lights and continue straight until you reach the intersection with St Kilda Road. You will see Federation Square directly in front of you. It is located at 3004 Melbourne VIC and is hard to miss due to its distinctive architecture.

From anywhere in the Melbourne CBD, you can take a tram to Federation Square. Look for tram routes 1, 3, 5, 6, 16, 64, and 67, which all have stops near Federation Square. Board the tram at any stop in the CBD and ride until you reach the 'Federation Square' stop. Once you disembark, follow the signs leading you into Federation Square, where you can explore the area.

If you are coming from a location outside the CBD, take a train to Flinders Street Station, which is the closest train station to Federation Square. Once you arrive at Flinders Street Station, exit the station and follow Flinders Street east. Federation Square will be directly in front of you, just across the street. It’s a short and simple walk from the station.
