If you are traveling by car, start your journey by navigating to Birdwood Ave, Melbourne VIC 3001. You can use Google Maps or your GPS device for directions. Depending on your starting point in Central West, take the major roads leading to the city center of Melbourne. Once you are on the appropriate highways, follow signs for 'City' and then onto St Kilda Rd. Turn left onto Birdwood Ave, and you will find the Shrine of Remembrance easily accessible. There is limited street parking available; parking fees may apply.

For those using public transportation, locate your nearest train station in Central West. Take a train to Southern Cross Station in Melbourne. From Southern Cross, catch the tram number 1 or 67 towards the city and get off at the 'Flinders Street' stop. From there, you can either walk (approximately 15 minutes) along St Kilda Rd, or catch tram number 3 or 5 towards the Shrine stop. The tram ride is approximately 10 minutes, and a Myki card is required for travel, costing around AUD 6 for the card and AUD 3.70 for a single zone trip.
