Getting There

Car
If you are driving from Alice Springs, take the Lasseter Highway (Highway 87) towards Uluru. The drive is approximately 450 kilometers (about 5 hours). Once you get closer to Uluru, follow the signs directing you to the Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park entrance. There is an entry fee of AUD 25 per adult, which is valid for three consecutive days. Make sure to have water and snacks for the journey, as services are limited along the highway.

To reach Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park via public transport, take a bus from Alice Springs to Yulara, the nearest resort town to Uluru. Several companies operate this route, such as AAT Kings or Greyhound Australia. The bus journey takes about 6 hours. From Yulara, you can take a shuttle bus service to the park, which is approximately 20 kilometers away. The shuttle service costs around AUD 20 for a return trip.
