If you are driving, start your journey from Victor Harbor and take the Victor Harbor Road (B37) towards Mount Compass. Continue on this road until you reach the intersection with the Main South Road (A13). Turn left onto Main South Road and follow it north towards Glen Osmond. Once you reach Glen Osmond, take a left onto Chapman Crescent. The Wheal Gawler Historic Site will be located along this road. Parking is available nearby.

To reach Wheal Gawler Historic Site using public transport, start by taking a bus from Victor Harbor to Adelaide. You can catch the 740 or 741 bus from Victor Harbor to the Adelaide Central Bus Station. From there, transfer to the Glenelg Tram (Glenelg Line) and travel towards Glenelg. Get off at the 'Glenelg' stop and catch the bus number 196 or 198 towards Mount Compass. Ask the driver to let you off at Chapman Crescent. The historic site is a short walk from the bus stop.
