From Hobart city centre, walk to the Elizabeth Street Bus Mall. Take the Metro bus number 40, 41, or 42 towards South Hobart. The journey takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Get off at the stop at 'Cascades Female Factory' or 'Degraves St', which is located near the site. From the bus stop, walk approximately 200 meters south along Degraves Street to reach the entrance of the Cascades Female Factory Historic Site.

If you're starting from the Hobart waterfront area, head south along the waterfront promenade towards Salamanca Place. Continue along Salamanca Place until you reach the intersection with Battery Point. Turn left onto Hampden Road and follow it until you reach the intersection with Degraves Street. Turn right onto Degraves Street and walk approximately 500 meters to the Cascades Female Factory Historic Site, which will be on your left.
