If you are driving, start on Point Nepean Road from the town of Portsea. Follow Point Nepean Road until you reach the entrance to Point Nepean National Park. Please note that you cannot drive all the way to Fort Nepean; you will have to park at the designated parking area. The parking area is well marked and is located near the visitor center. From there, you can either walk or bike to Fort Nepean.

Take a bus from the Mornington Peninsula area to Portsea. Make sure to check the current bus schedule as they may vary. Once you arrive in Portsea, look for bus stops that have routes heading towards Point Nepean National Park. After getting off the bus at the park entrance, you will need to walk to the parking area and then follow the walking trails to Fort Nepean. The trails are clearly marked and will guide you to the historical landmark.

If you are already in Portsea, you can walk or bike to Fort Nepean. Start at the town center and make your way to Point Nepean Road. Head towards the entrance of Point Nepean National Park.
