If you're driving from New England, start by heading south on the New England Highway (A15). Continue on this highway until you reach the junction with the Pacific Highway (A1). Merge onto the A1 heading south. Follow the signs for Hobart and continue on the A1 until you reach Sorell. From Sorell, take the Arthur Highway (A3) towards Port Arthur. After about 40 minutes on the A3, you will see signs for the Port Arthur Historic Site. The address is Historic Site, Visitor Centre, Port Arthur, TAS 7182. Note that there is a parking fee at the site.

For those using public transport, you can take a bus from Hobart to Port Arthur. Start by taking a bus from Hobart City Bus Station to Sorell.
