    From Grafton, take the Pacific Highway (A1) southbound for about 30 km. Exit onto Gwydir Highway (B76) towards Copmanhurst/Yuraygir. Continue on Gwydir Highway for about 20 km until you reach the junction with G965. Turn left onto G965 and follow it for approximately 10 km. You will arrive at the Mara Creek picnic area, located at G965+GC, Yuraygir NSW 2464. There is no entry fee for the picnic area.

From Maclean, you will need to arrange a taxi or rideshare service to get to the Mara Creek picnic area, as there are no direct public transport routes to the picnic area.
