Getting There

  • Walking

    From Darling Harbour, head towards the Pyrmont Bridge. Cross the bridge, which will take you directly to the main area of the city. Once you reach the other side, continue straight on Market Street until you reach George Street. Turn left (north) on George Street and walk for about 10 minutes. You will then reach the intersection of George Street and Hay Street. Chinatown is located just off Hay Street. Look for Dixon Street, where you will find the vibrant area of Chinatown with its restaurants and shops.

    If you prefer to take public transport, you can catch the Light Rail from the 'Convention' stop in Darling Harbour. Board a light rail train towards 'Central' and get off at the 'Capitol Square' stop. From Capitol Square, walk south on Campbell Street until you reach Dixon Street. Chinatown is located just a short walk from there. Note that a single trip on the Light Rail costs approximately AUD 4.00, depending on your starting location.
