If you're traveling by car, start your journey from Klagenfurt, the capital of Carinthia. Take the A2 motorway heading north towards Italy. After approximately 60 km, take the exit for Tarvisio (Exit 1). Follow the signs to Tarvisio and continue on the SP1 road, which will take you directly into the town. As you enter Tarvisio, look for signs directing you to the Monumento Al Granatiere Austriaco, which is located at coordinates 46.5082, 13.6045. There is free parking available near the monument.

To reach the monument using public transportation, take a train from Klagenfurt to Tarvisio. Trains run regularly, and the journey takes about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at Tarvisio train station, exit the station and catch bus number 1 towards Tarvisio Centro. The bus ride will take around 10 minutes. Get off at the Tarvisio Centro stop and walk approximately 1 km to the monument, following signs for 'Monumento Al Granatiere Austriaco'. Note that bus tickets can be purchased at the train station or on the bus, costing around €2.00.
