If you are traveling by car, start from your location in Friuli Venezia Giulia and head towards Tarvisio. The Sanctuary of Monte Lussari is located at 33018 Tarvisio, Province of Udine. Use the A23 motorway and follow the signs for Tarvisio. Once in Tarvisio, you will find signs directing you to the Monte Lussari cable car station (Funivia del Monte Lussari). There is a parking area near the cable car station. Please note that parking may incur a fee, which typically ranges from €5 to €10 depending on the duration of your stay.

To reach the Sanctuary of Monte Lussari via public transportation, take a train to Tarvisio. You can catch trains from major cities in Friuli Venezia Giulia, such as Udine or Trieste. Upon arriving at Tarvisio train station, you can take a local bus to the Funivia del Monte Lussari cable car station. The bus service may have limited schedules, so it’s advisable to check the local timetable in advance. Once at the cable car station, purchase a ticket for the cable car ride, which costs approximately €12 for a round trip. The cable car will take you directly to the Sanctuary, offering stunning views along the way.
