Public Transport
From Eisenstadt, head to the Eisenstadt train station (Bahnhof Eisenstadt). Purchase a ticket to Vienna (Wien) and board the train heading to Wien Meidling. The journey will take approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Wien Meidling, transfer to the S-Bahn (suburban train) S2 or S3 heading towards Wien Hütteldorf. Get off at the Hütteldorf station. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to Schönbrunn Palace Park. Exit the station and head north on Hütteldorfer Straße. Continue straight until you reach the Schönbrunn Palace entrance. Follow the pathway through the park to the Großes Palmenhaus.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Eisenstadt. Start your journey by heading north on the B50 road, which leads towards Vienna. Follow the designated bike paths to ensure safety and enjoy the scenery. The ride is approximately 20 km and will take around 1 to 1.5 hours. Once you reach the outskirts of Vienna, follow signs leading to Schönbrunn Palace Park, which will guide you directly to the entrance of the park.
Walking
For the adventurous, walking from Eisenstadt to Schönbrunn Palace Park is also an option, though it requires a good level of fitness. The distance is roughly 20 km and will take about 4 to 5 hours. Start at the central square in Eisenstadt (Burgplatz), head north to connect with the B50 road. Follow this road until you reach the borders of Vienna. As you approach the city, keep an eye out for signage directing you to Schönbrunn Palace. Upon entering the park, make your way to the Großes Palmenhaus.
