If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Grossglockner. Head east on the B107 (Grossglockner Road) towards the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. Continue on B107 for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the entrance of the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. Please note that there is a toll fee of around €38 for a car to access the road. Once you have paid the toll, continue driving on the Grossglockner High Alpine Road for approximately 30 kilometers. You will pass through stunning mountain scenery. Look for signs towards Passheiligtum Hochtor, which is located at the Hochtor Pass. The destination will be on your left, with parking available nearby.
Public Transport
For those using public transportation, start by taking a bus from the main bus station in Grossglockner to the nearest town with further connections, which is Zell am See. From Zell am See, take the train towards Mittersill. In Mittersill, transfer to a bus to the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. This bus will take you directly to the entrance of the road. Once at the entrance, you will need to pay the toll of approximately €38 to access the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. After entering, take the bus or a taxi service along the road towards the Hochtor Pass. Ask the driver to drop you off at Passheiligtum Hochtor. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary by season.
