Walk
From Hallstatt, start at the Hallstatt market square (Marktplatz). Head towards the Hallstatt funicular railway station located at the base of the mountain. You will see signs pointing towards the funicular. Take the funicular up to the top of the mountain.

Once you arrive at the top of the funicular, you will be at the viewpoint area. There should be signs indicating the way to Baumwipfelpfad Salzkammergut. Follow these signs through the forest trails. The pathway is well marked and leads you directly to the treetop walk.

Walk
After enjoying the Baumwipfelpfad Salzkammergut, retrace your steps back to the funicular station. Take the funicular back down to the base. Once you are back at the market square, you can explore the local shops and restaurants or return to your accommodation.
