Walking
From the Hallstatt train station, exit the station and head towards the Hallstatt ferry terminal, which is approximately a 10-minute walk. At the ferry terminal, take the ferry to Gmunden. The ferry ride takes about 30 minutes and offers stunning views of the lake and mountains. Once you arrive at the Gmunden ferry terminal, exit the terminal and walk towards the main road, which is called 'Pensionatstraße'. Head east on Pensionatstraße for about 20 minutes until you reach Schloss Traunsee, located at Pensionatstraße 73.

From Hallstatt, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is 'Hallstatt Lahn'. Take the bus number 150 towards Gmunden. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Gmunden, get off at the stop 'Gmunden Bahnhof'. From there, walk east towards Pensionatstraße for around 15 minutes until you reach Schloss Traunsee at Pensionatstraße 73.
