Public Transportation
From Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof (the main train station), take the regional train towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Garmisch-Partenkirchen station, exit the train and follow the signs to the bus terminal. Here, you can catch bus number 1 or 2 towards Wankbahn. Get off at the 'Wankbahn' stop which is directly at the base of the Wankbahn cable car. The entire trip will take around 1.5 hours.

If you prefer to walk from Garmisch-Partenkirchen station, exit the station and head northwest on Bahnhofstraße toward Ludwigstraße. Continue straight and then turn left onto Wankbahnstraße. The Wankbahn cable car station will be on your right after about a 20-minute walk.
