Experience Hohe Tauern National Park Information Centre

Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From the center of Kitzbühel, walk to the Kitzbühel Bahnhof (train station), which is about 1.5 km away. Once at the station, take the regional train towards Mittersill. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. After arriving at Mittersill station, exit the station and walk towards Gerlos Straße. The Hohe Tauern National Park Information Centre is located at Gerlos Str. 18, approximately a 15-minute walk from the station. Follow Gerlos Straße in the direction of the city center, and you will see the Information Centre on your left.

  • Bus

    From Kitzbühel, head to the nearest bus stop, which is Kitzbühel Hahnenkamm. Take the bus number 400 towards Mittersill. The bus ride will take about 40 minutes. Get off at the Mittersill stop. From there, walk to Gerlos Straße, which is about a 10-minute walk. The Hohe Tauern National Park Information Centre is located at Gerlos Str. 18, and you will find it on your left as you walk.

  • Walking

    If you prefer to walk, start from the center of Kitzbühel and head towards the train station (Kitzbühel Bahnhof). This is approximately a 20-minute walk. Once you reach the station, you can catch a train or a bus to Mittersill. Once in Mittersill, follow the directions provided previously to reach the Hohe Tauern National Park Information Centre, located at Gerlos Str. 18.
