Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from any location in Ötztal Alps and head towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Follow the A12 highway towards Innsbruck, then take the A95 towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Once you reach Garmisch-Partenkirchen, navigate to Olympiastraße 31 using your GPS. There is parking available near the Alpspix cable car station, but be aware that parking fees may apply.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, take a train from the nearest station in Ötztal to the Garmisch-Partenkirchen train station. Trains are available regularly, but it's best to check the timetable ahead of your journey. Once you arrive at Garmisch-Partenkirchen station, you can take the local bus (Bus line 1) towards Kreuzeckbahn. Get off at the Kreuzeckbahn stop, which is the cable car station. From there, purchase a ticket for the cable car to Alpspix. The cable car fare is approximately €30 for a round trip.

  • Walking from Cable Car Station

    After arriving at the top of the Kreuzeck with the cable car, you will need to walk for about 10-15 minutes to reach Alpspix. Follow the clearly marked hiking trails towards the viewing platform. The walk is scenic and offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.
